Generally, a horse performing only recreational work can fully meet its daily magnesium requirement through the magnesium from its roughage and concentrate feed. When a horse does heavier work, sweats or in stress situations, the need for magnesium becomes higher. In such situations, the administration of some additional magnesium through one of our magnesium sources may be necessary.
