Weight Support contains high-quality amino acids
Soy and flaxseed are the two main ingredients in Weight Support. Soy is an important source of protein, as it contains about 40 to 50% crude protein. It is one of the best sources of essential amino acids in horse feed which has a good amino acid profile to promote growth and muscle development. Soy is especially high in lysine, the most important limiting amino acid that the horse should get through nutrition. It is a good source of fiber.
Why does Weight Support contain flaxseed?
Flaxseed is added as extruded flaxseed. A process in which flaxseed is heated for a certain time at a very high temperature (above 120 degrees). The hydrocyanic acid disappears, just like boiling flaxseed. After heating, the flaxseed is ground and to prevent oxidation, it is dried. Flaxseed is also an excellent source of energy and contains high-quality amino acids. Ideal for horses that need more energy and/or protein.
