Description

Spirulina for horses

Our Spirulina for horses is a broad-spectrum natural supplement. It supports your horse's overall resistance and helps maintain healthy respiratory tracts. Spirulina contains a unique composition of antioxidants, essential amino acids, omega fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.

Our Spirulina for horses is rich in antioxidants

Spirulina is rich in Beta-carotene (precursor to Vitamin A), Vitamin C and Vitamin E. These are important antioxidants. They protect the body from free radicals and help maintain healthy cells and tissues.

Supports healthy skin

Many horses have very sensitive and irritated skin during the summer. Spirulina, combined with Flaxseed oil can be supportive for healthy skin during this time. Flaxseed oil is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and Spirulina in the Omega-6 fatty acid Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Omega-3 and GLA fatty acids support the skin's healing ability.

Contains high levels of Thiamine, vitamin B1

Spirulina contains high levels of vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 is a water-soluble vitamin and is produced by the horse itself in the large intestine through the fermentation process of roughage. In addition, the horse gets it through fresh grass. However, the horse may not be able to produce enough vitamin B1. This can occur if the intestinal flora is out of balance.

Thiamine is important for carbohydrate metabolism, helping the horse release energy from carbohydrates including sugars. In addition, Thiamine contributes to normal nervous system function. Low levels of Thiamine in horses may be associated with restless behavior. A supplement containing Thiamine contributes to normal resistance to stress.
